For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Buch, Bäuerin beim Melken Zentralbild Zimmermann 15.4.1957 Lehrlingsausbildung auf dem Volksgut Hobrechtsfelde bei Buch. Auf dem volkseigenen Gut Hobrechtsfelde bei Buch werden 39 Lehrlinge in zwei Jahren zu Facharbeitern für die Rinderzucht ausgebildet. Die Lehrlinge müssen alle Arbeiten, die mit der Rinderzucht zusammenhängen, selbständig bewältigen; unterstützt werden sie dabei von zwei erfahrenen, ebenfalls noch jungen Lehrausbildern. UBz: Obwohl sonst elektrisch gemolken wird, muß der Lehrling Ute Schultz auch mit der Hand melken lernen.
