For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Turn- und Sporttreffen, Massenübung Zentralbild Dittrich-Schlegel-Wlocka 21.7.1957 Turn- und Sporttreffen der Jugend in Leipzig. Im Rahmen des Turn- und Sporttreffens der Jugend fanden am 20.7.1957 abends die Massenübungen der Kinder, Sportlerinnen und Sportler des Bezirkes Leipzig, Sportvereinigung Dynamo und Sportvereinigung Vorwärts statt. Daran schloß sich das Aschenbahnrennen mit unseren Radsportlern an. Am Start befand sich u.a. auch die siegreiche Mannschaft der X. Internationalen Radfernfahrt für den Frieden "Prag-Berlin-Warschau". UBz: Angehörige der SV Dynamo zeigen Massenübungen mit dem Balken. (Schlegel)
