For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Chemnitz, Wohnblock, Wäscheleinen Zentralbild Schlegel Vgt-Noa 22.5.1958 52 % der im Jahre 1958 geplanten Wohnungen in Karl-Marx-Stadt bis 30.6.1958 fertigstellen Zu Ehren des V. Parteitages der SED faßte das Stadtparlament von Karl-Marx-Stadt den Beschluß, bis zum 30.Juni 52 Prozent der in diesem Jahr in Karl-Marx-Stadt vorgesehenen 1800 Wohnungseinheiten fertigzustellen. UBz: Familie Schwarzer hat in der neuen Wohnung die erste große Wäsche. Sie wohnen seit Anfang Mai in einer der ersten Wohnungen, die in Großblockbauweise errichtet wurden.
