For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Schaar-9.3.1960 FDGB-Urlauberschiff "Völkerfreundschaft" in Constanta. Nach dreizehntägiger Fahrt ist das erste FDGB-Urlauberschiff der DDR, die "Völkerfreundschaft", am Vormittag des 7. März 1960 in dem rumänischen Schwarzmeerhafen Constanta vor Anker gegangen. Damit hat der moderne Hochsee-Passagierdampfer, der aus Mitteln der Steckenpferdbewegung aus Schweden angekauft worden war, seine erste Reise erfolgreich beendet.
