For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Traktorist eine Prämie erhaltend Zentralbild Weigelt 14.10.1960 Vorbildlicher Traktorist. Das vierte Mall schon wurde Traktorist Pfau von der MTS Thürkow, Bez. Neubrandenburg mit einer Wochenprämie ausgezeichnet. Mit seinem Kombinefahrer erreichte er bisher über 80 ha in der Kartoffelrodung. Seine Norm beträgt täglich 2, 4 ha, aber geschafft werden von ihm 3, 4 ha. Traktorist Pfau sagte: Ich habe nur eine Hand, die andere habe ich im Krieg verloren. Meine Leistungen sollen ein Beitrag zur Stärkung des Friedens und zur Abrüstung sein. UBz: Traktorist Oskar Pfau erhält vom Brigadier Krisch (rechts) die Prämie überreicht.
