In der neuen Kongreßhalle am Berliner Alexanderplatz tagt vom 10. bis 15. Oktober 1966 der VI. Kongreß der Internationalen Organisation der Journalisten (IOJ). Der Kongreß, der in der Regel alle 4 Jahre zusammentritt, ist das höchste Organ der IOJ, die in diesem Jahr ihr 20jähriges Bestehen feiert. Die Organisation des Kongresses erwartet Teilnehmer aus 80 Ländern in Berlin.
