For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Ingenieure am Reissbrett ADN-ZB Kutscher 16.5.74 Berlin: Forschungsprojekt - Konstrukteur Jost Merkel und Technologe Dieter Wolf (l.) aus dem VEB Metalleichtbaukombinat Berlin, Werkteil III sowie weitere 12 Mitglieder der KdT-Betriebssektion arbeiten an einem Projekt einer polyrethangeschäumten Stahltür. Gegenüber den geläufigen Stahltüren für Industrie-, Wohnungs- und Gesellschaftsbauten soll eine wesentliche Gebrauchswerterhöhung, Gewichtverringerung um 50 Prozent und eine jährliche Stahleinsparung von 2300 Tonnen erreicht werden.
