English: The Burnett Shoe Company opened in 1922 under ownership of Blaine W. Burnett in the space formerly occupied by the Guarantee Shoe Company at 213 North 8th Street in Boise, Idaho. Blaine Burnett married Hazel Cleveland in 1923, and the H.C. Burnett House was constructed in Boise in 1924. The house was designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Burnetts moved to Seattle in 1933, and in 1941 Al Pessemier renamed the shoe store Pessemier's Footware. |
