| Description |
English: Burnham Beeches: Druids Oak This is considered to be the oldest living tree in Burnham Beeches, a pollarded oak that is probably at least 800 hundred years old. It was probably named during the penchant for naming things in Victorian times and old photographs from this era reveal that its overall shape has not changed greatly in the last hundred years or more. It can be found on the south-east side of the Lord Mayors Drive, so named because the City of London own and manage the woodland. |
