Description Frederick Russell Burnham shoots bull to save the life of a banker, Senora, Mexico. This story was published in the Dallas Morning News, page 1, on May 6, 1907: Banker Saved by Soldier. Special to the News. Guadalajara, Mexico, May 5. - Killing a wild Mexican bull and thereby saving the life of a Guadalajara banker is the latest exploit of Major Frederick R. Burnham of Pasadena, Cal., the explorer and mining expert who was chief of scouts of the British Army during the Boer War. Major Burnham has been in this State for some time representing the Guggenheims.
