Summary edit

Description
English: Burstwick Drain, Hedon, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
This is where Burstwick Drain goes under the A1033 Hedon Bypass (the bridge just beyond the green footbridge). Up until the summer, the drain was heavily lined with large reeds. These have since been cut down to maximise the flowrate along the drain following the severe flooding of late June 2007, but already new bright green reed shoots are appearing. The remnants of the old cut reeds can be seen lying in the foreground.
