Description
Français : Buste de Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa (marbre de Luna, Musées Capitolins (Centrale Montemartini), inv. 2760). Découvert au cours des fouilles de Via del Mare sur le Forum Boarium à Rome en 1937, à côté d'un portrait d'Auguste aujourd'hui exposé à côté de lui. Dans ce portrait, on y voit un Agrippa jeune, serein, et idéalisé. Ce type est de la même facture que le portrait d'Agrippa de Vibo Valentia, et semble, selon P. Zanker, appartenir à la toute première génération des portraits officiels du fidèle lieutenant d'Auguste, contemporain donc du type de "Prima Porta" pour le premier empereur. Il aurait orné, selon Colini, avec son ami, la scène du théâtre de Marcellus.
