| Description |
English: Bythynod Llanfoi Cottages, Llaneilian These terraced cottages date back to the late 18thC. Who St Boi (here mutated to foi) was, I do not know. The Spaniards. however, have their Sant Boi De Llobregat, A recent correspondent has kindly suggested that the original name was Llainfoi, and this is confirmed by the 1851 Census. The "llain" part is easily translatable as "a parcel of land". The "foi" element, however, still remains a mystery. |
