English: Byway to Strata Florida, Powys Despite being mapped as a byway open to all traffic, I suggest only four wheel drive vehicles and properly equipped motor cycles should use it, but not if flood conditions exist on rivers. Several potentially hazardous fords cross waterways, including the Afon Tywi. Cyclists who don't mind a bit of rough and wet feet (at all times) should also enjoy the route. Felling of the Tywi forest has started on the Ceredigion side of the valley, so this landscape is likely to be changing a lot in the next few years. |
