Description 24 U.S. Air Force Fairchild C-123B Provider aircraft at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, waiting for take-off. C-123B's were loaded with fuel drums to burn parts of the Boi Loi woods northwest of Saigon, Vietnam. Each aircraft carried 24 208 l (55 US gal) drums. the ensueing blaze was fed by strike aircraft and the smoke clouds reached up to 2.600 m.
