| Description | NEWARK, N.J. - Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson holds media availability at Newark International Airport, Nov. 4, 2016, to announce 11 new overseas preclearance locations to identify threats long before they arrive in the U.S. If Preclearance operations are expanded to these airports, travelers would undergo immigration, customs, and agriculture inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection before boarding a flight to the United States rather than upon arrival.
