On board USS Harry S. Truman A CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron Four Six One (HMH-461), the "Ironhorses", approaches the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Several Navy and Marine helicopter squadrons participated in flight operations aboard Truman while assisting in the relief efforts for the areas along the U.S. Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Katrina. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operation is being lead by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
