Summary edit
DescriptionCHINA SALAD PLATE1.jpg |
Mr. EraPhernalia Vintage's plate. Served on thrifted Shenango restaurant ware china plate with cream colored band and forest green band; and thrifted Corning Ware "grab it" tab-handled bowl. Thrifted heavy-duty stainless unmatched, but similarly-shaped, fork and tablespoon. Next to my Bakelite-handled flatware I like these pieces second. Wish I could find more of it. It looks like something that would have been used in commercial cafeterias, schools or military mess halls. Sturdy and well worn. Strangely, I'd rather have something used in my house that's been previously lived-with and has had a history; whether I have knowledge of that history is unimportant to me. |
