Bahasa Indonesia: Pada tahun 1907, Perusahaan Timah Singkep memperoleh konsesi timah laut di dekat Pulau Singkep untuk periode 30 tahun. Pada 1911 operasi eksploitasi dimulai, karena kapal keruk "Dabo", yang dibangun di galangan kapal "Conrad",Belanda, telah tiba. Pada tahun 1925, mesin keruk itu dipindahkan ke daratan dan mesin keruk lain bekerja di laut. Pada tahun 1938 bekerja tiga mesin keruk semacam ini di Singkep, sembilan buah di Bangka, dan 12 buah di Belitung. Setelah 1928, di Singkep pengerukan hanya dikerjakan di darat, terutama karena malaise yang dimulai pada tahun 1929. (P. Orchard, 2001)

In 1911 kon tot exploitatie worden overgegaan, omdat toen de zeebaggermolen 'Dabo', in Nederland gebouwd bij de werf Conrad, was aangekomen. In 1925 had de baggermolen zich, zoals dat toen genoemd werd, 'het land ingewerkt' en nam een andere molen het werk op zee over. In 1938 waren er te Singkep drie van deze emmerbaggers, bij Banka 9 en bij Billiton 12 stuks.
