Nederlands: Negatief. De kleding van deze vrouwen lijkt te bestaan uit een "kelamkelam", een "sambat" en een "batu jala". Alle zijn van ingevoerde handelskatoen (geen met de hand geweven katoen) gemaakt die door de Karo zelf in een indigo verfbad zijn gedompeld om ze de kenmerkende blauwe Karo kleur te geven.
De "kelamkelam" bestaat uit een lap indigo geverfde katoen. Het wordt als hoofdbedekking gebruikt. De "sambat" bestaat uit twee aan elkaar genaaide lappen indigo geverfde katoen. Het is dan breed genoeg om het hele lichaam in te wikkelen. De "batu jala" die hier als omslagdoek wordt gebruikt heeft witte tritik motieven. . Karo vrouw in danshouding |
