Nederlands: Repronegatief. De pogingen tot kerstening van de Toradja's begonnen veel later dan in de Minahasa. Het begin ligt rond 1890 met de komst van de zendelingen Adriani en Kruyt. Ook hier ging het, net als in de Minahasa, om niet-moslims. Er is wel beweerd dat de grote rol van varkens bij de Toradja rituelen de christelijke zending een voorsprong gaf op de moslims. Desondanks verliep het bekeringsproces aanvankelijk zeer traag. Vooral onder de Toradja's heeft de zending geprobeerd om traditionele elementen van de plaatselijke cultuur zo min mogelijk geweld aan te doen. Het kerkje op de foto, in de vorm van een adathuis van de Toradja's, is daar een mooi voorbeeld van. (P. Boomgaard, 2001). Kerk op het zendingsterrein Rante-Pao in de Torajalanden, Mamasa, Sulawesi.
