Nederlands: Repronegatief. Net als veel Bataks hadden ook de 'heidense' Niassers geen problemen met varkens. In tegendeel. Varkens speelden een belangrijke rol bij diverse rituelen, waarbij men bijvoorbeeld aan huwelijksplechtigheden kan denken. De traditie bepaalde welke bruiloftsgasten welk deel van het varken kregen. Varkens speelden ook een rol bij feesten die georganiseerd werden om iemand van aanzien aan een 'grote naam' (zeg maar een titel) te helpen. Bij deze festiviteiten werden de varkens niet, zoals gewoonlijk, met een mes gedood, maar met een speer. De voorouders werden geacht middels de bewegingen die het (dode) varken maakte als het gespiesd werd, te kennen te geven of ze instemden met de hogere status van de feestgever. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
