Summary edit

Description
English: Dineutus australis, is commonly known as a whirligig beetle due to its ability to gyrate or swim in tight circles on the surface of the water. This species is widespread over most of Australia and can be found in a variety of aquatic habitats from still to moving water. It is predacious in both the adult and larval stages, with the larvae sucking out the juices of their prey.
