Description
English: A field infected with prickly pear. Commonwealth Prickly Pear Board scientists introduced the larvae from the Argentinean moth Cactoblastis cactorum in 1926 and within ten years, the once-dense fields of common prickly pear lay rotting or had vanished completely.
