DescriptionCSIRO ScienceImage 3851 Boomerange Gorge Yanchep National Park WA following the release of bridal creeper biocontrol agents.jpg |
English: After: Boomerange Gorge, Yanchep National Park, 50km North of Perth, Western Australia in September 2003 shows bridal creeper, Asparagus asparagoides defoliated by the biocontrol agents Puccinia myrsiphylli, rust fungus and Zygina species, leafhopper (but mainly from the rust). The agents have been at this site since 2000 and three years of attack has shown a marked reduction in the above ground mass of bridal creeper and there are clearly more plant species in the surrounds. To view location before release of biological agents, see file number BE4070. |
