Summary edit

Description
English: Cabot ring and basophilic stippling are seen in the image. Cabot rings are thin, threadlike, red to violet rings or "figure of 8" shaped inclusions in red blood cells. They are remnants of the mitotic spindle, and can be seen in megaloblastic anemia, medication effect, myelodysplasia and other forms of dyserythropoiesis.Basophilic stippling or punctate basophilia means the presence of numerous basophilic granules distributed throughout the cell. It is indicative of disturbed erythropoiesis and is seen in many conditions like thalassaemia, megaloblastic anaemias, poisoning by lead and other heavy metals etc
