Family: Capparidaceae Distribution: Common in scrubs, Limited to peninsular India. 2-mts tall shrubs, Leaves simple, elliptic, lanceolate, Flowers 1-1.5 cm across in corymbose racemes, Sepals 4 unequal, Petals 4 clawed, greenis white, stamens 4, inserted unilaterally on the gynophore, ovary 1 celled, ovules many on 2 parietal placentas; Fruit a fleshy cylindric berry.
