Summary edit

Description
English: Cafartha (also Nantddu) Mine Spoil heaps and ruins around the whim engine shaft of the Cafartha lead and copper mine. This was a waterwheel driven haulage shaft, the ruins also showing traces of ore storage bins and a simple picking floor for the rough separation of ore bearing rock from the waste. Below the horizon centre right is the breached wall of a dam built to provide water to the Dyfngwm Mine. The dam was originally connected by a 'cut and cover' leat to Glaslyn.
