Description
English: Cafartha Mine - wheelpit Cafartha - or Nantddu - mine was worked in Victorian times for both lead and copper. This is the pit for the waterwheel driving the ore crusher, which was situated to the left of the wheelpit. The modern farm buildings sit on top of the old dressing floors. The Afon Clywedog runs through the gorge in the background.
