Description Localizado no esteiro de Esgueira, sector da Ria de Aveiro que estabelece continuidade à Ribeira de Esgueira, sendo este um dos canais que se estendem a partir da zona norte da cidade de Aveiro. Este canal teria uma importância fundamental para o antigo concelho de Esgueira que, recebendo o seu primeiro foral em 1110, reforçado por um manuelino em 1515, deteve o estatuto de município até à sua anexação a Aveiro em 1836. O decair da relevância deste município acompanhou o assoreamento da Ria, que afastou gradualmente a navegabilidade do canal na direção oposta ao povoado localizado no Outeiro, junto ao fontanário de 1675. Augurando um rejuvenescer do canal da Ribeira de Esgueira, foi recentemente construído um cais para o século XXI que serve de ponto de partida a quem se lança à descoberta deste troço do passadiço. Ao longo desta estrutura de madeira, para além de ter oportunidade de apreciar o canal e o extenso plano de água criado durante a maré cheia, poderá observar as variações existentes entre os sapais alto e baixo e as diferentes formas de utilização da rica biodiversidade desta área. <a href="https://granderota.riadeaveiro.pt/pois/cais-da-ribeira-de-esgueira/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">granderota.riadeaveiro.pt/pois/cais-da-ribeira-de-esgueira/</a>
