Description

The very unhealthy sounding EWS Class 37 diesel locomotive 37416 at Fort William railway station.

The loco had apparently failed half-a-dozen times en route from London Euston with the Caledonian Sleeper service, arriving into Fort William, Scotland several hours late, and causing a significant delay to the return leg of The Jacobite steam service from Mallaig. Several passengers even suggested that they should have used the steam locomotive to rescue the diesel!
