Summary edit

Description
English: Louis Arado Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Illinois. "Louis Arado [...] died suddenly yesterday morning at his home, No. 84 Sherman street, from an attack of apoplexy. Mr Arado was born in Genoa, Italy, and came to this country in 1847. Shortly after he settled in Chicago, and during the gold fever he went to California, where he remained for two years. While there he accumulated considerable worth mining speculations, and on his return to Chicago in 1851 he invested largely in real estate in the First and Second wards, which he owned up to the time of his death."--Chicago Tribune, June 3, 1886.
