Summary edit

Description

I knew I was going to love Axum when I saw this camel caravan out the bus window on the ride in from the airport. They weren't carrying loads at the time, but I am certain they're working camels heading to or returning from a job.

These are the one-humped camels, or dromedaries, scientific name Camelus dromedarius, which I have to say sounds totally made up.
