DescriptionCanal and cooling towers near Rugeley, Staffordshire - geograph.org.uk - 1556715.jpg |
English: Canal and cooling towers near Rugeley, Staffordshire. The various built up areas of Rugeley have generally used The Trent and Mersey Canal (completed in 1777) as their northern boundary. Here the canal skirts round Brereton, giving a fine view of the cooling towers of the Rugeley Power Station. Cooling towers are heat removal devices used to transfer process waste heat to the atmosphere. |
