Español: La fuente original se construyó en 1779; se reedificó en 1871 y su estructura y ubicación actual (está desplazada unas decenas de metros del manantial original) se realizaron en 1929; aunque en los últimos años ha tenido diversos arreglos exteriores, como la escalera de acceso. El manantial debió ser utilizado desde tiempos muy remotos, es la fuente más tradicional de Candás y uno de los pilares históricos del nacimiento de la villa. Hoy en día mucha gente baja con botellas y garrafas a coger agua de la fuente. Por la calidad de sus aguas es famoso el dicho popular “La Fuente de Santarúa fai a la xente aguda” |
