| Description |
English: Capel y Babell - now on sale. Capel y Babell (=the tent/pavilion), a Calvinistic Methodist chapel, together with the vestry, is now on sale. The chapel was first built in 1857 by Robert Hughes, farmer and unpaid preacher of Uwchlaw'r-ffynnon Farm, who at the age of 60 took up portrait painting and produced a series of interesting portraits of ministers and deacons of the Llyn area in the vernacular style. His great grandson, Sir David Hughes Parry, born at Uwchlaw'r-ffynnon, became one of Britain's leading jurists. The chapel was rebuilt in its present form in the 1870s.
