DescriptionCapt. Cook Memorial Museum - geograph.org.uk - 1412936.jpg |
English: Capt. Cook Memorial Museum This grade I, 17th century building in Grape Lane, is a 3 storey house in brick with maroon ochre, and a heavy diagonal brick eaves cornice. The attics remain unchanged where, from 1746, the future Captain Cook lived when apprenticed to Captain Walker. The house is now a museum which houses a superb collection of original exhibits about Yorkshire's most famous son.
