BALTIMORE (Oct. 13, 2016) Capt. James A. Kirk, commanding officer of future USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) answers questions from the media during a media tour of the Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyer, which will be commissioned Oct. 15 during Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore. Fleet week offers the public an opportunity to meet Sailors, Marines, and members of the Coast Guard and gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas.
