Description

Captain George Mainwaring , pronounced "Mannering" is a character in Dad's Army, a British sitcom about the Home Guard in the Second World War. The show was set in the fictional seaside town of Walmington-on-Sea, on the South Coast of England (though it was mostly filmed in and around Thetford, Norfolk)

This Pub was named after Captain 'Mannering' is in Shoeburyness, not far from my home.
