This ship has as a technical novelty solar panels and lithium ion accumulators so that the auxiliary diesel engines for the onboard power supply can be switched off when laying in the port. The ship was built in 2012 and is operated by Mitsui.

EMERALD ACE called port of Durban and than sailed to India. Currently she is on the way to Europe after calling Unite Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
