Recostruction of Carcharocles (or Otodus) megalodon. It probably had a marked countershading for mimesis and to hide its large body from prey
This paleontological restoration is inaccurate, or its accuracy is disputed.

Reason: Does not match up with living lamniformes and what we know of otodontid anatomy, does not have an anal fin, and the general proportions are off.

Description
English: My reconstruction is based on Cretalamna (for jaw morphology) and Cretoxyrhina (for the head shape, but i make it with a shorter snout for great bite and a huge post-head muscular hump), Alopias genus (also for head shape), Great White shark (for fin proportions, but I added a wider pectoral, dorsal and caudal fins), Killer Whale (for countershading)
