Hecho: Provocado por la prensa noticiosa de principios de siglo, la percepción que tenían los habitantes de la capital sobre el movimiento zapatista era aterradora. Suscitada entre los meses de agosto – diciembre de 1911 las incursiones militares que las tropas federales iniciaron en el estado de Michoacán, derivaron en el levantamiento de los hacendados, convirtiéndose así, en la amenaza de que hordas de campesinos armados arrasarían con la Ciudad de México.

El caricaturista buscó difundir la crueldad de Emiliano Zapata, quien ofrece con mucha seguridad Carnes Frescas, producto de sus campañas militares.
