Description
English: Comprehensive view of the Carl Potter Mound, located in a former pasture field east of State Route 56 southwest of Mechanicsburg in southeastern Union Township, Champaign County, Ohio, United States. Built by prehistoric Adena Native Americans, the mound is an archaeological site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the past, the mound was repeatedly plowed and has been reduced greatly in size as a result; it is a slightly raised area in the center of the photograph, and its far side is at the edge of the wooded area.
