Summary edit

Description
English: The 1960 Bowden "Spacelander" on display at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA. It was created by Benjamin G. Bowden (1907-1998), an industrial designer, and featured a fiberglass frame, an electric motor with "D" cell batteries, push-button electric horn, electric headlights and taillights. Only several hundred Bowden Spacelander bicycles were built by the Bomard Industries in Grand Haven, Michigan, and it turned into a much sought after collector's item.
