| Description |
The square in front of the Iglesia de San Pedro Claver. The sculptures in the square are very nice. July is the rainy season, so lots of clouds, a few rains, but the sun is out every day. HDR of three handheld shots. Used f5.6, widest on my 10-22 lens, so the +2 shot would be 1/80sec. I rather not compromise on ISO because my camera does not do well with higher ISOs. Focused a bit beyond the statue. Processed in Photomatix 4 beta. Used the manual ghost removal on all the people and the pigeons in the foreground. Imagenomics Noiseware to reduce noise, and then mostly Viveza 2 to brighten the buildings, darken the red brick a bit to contrast with the lighter brick, and make the statue more brown, as it is in real life, but which Photomatix had made too red. Nik Tonal Contrast on the church and roof tiles. Warmed the sky which Photomatix made too blue. Looked at many of Joanot's photos for inspiration. Finally, signed my photo unobtrusively. It is fun, and let's me learn a few PS tricks. I've been doing this in several of my last posts. The graffiti fonts are great for that. |
