English: Comparsas are a type of parade or walking party, similar to a carnival, very common to Oaxaca City. It's not uncommon to see several comparsas making their way through the streets to a massive celebration in the city center on special dates such as Day of the Dead.
Español: Las comparsas son un tipo de desfile o fiesta ambulante, similar a un carnaval, típicas de la ciudad de Oaxaca. Es común ver varias comparsas abriéndose paso entre las calles para llegar a una celebración masiva en el centro de la ciudad en fechas especiales como Día de Muertos.
