This shot captures some of the many colors and hues within the canyon. God certainly used his whole pallete here.

When we visit National Parks and Monuments, I am always amazed that the National Parks Service gives people credit (sometimes not warranted) for common sense. The agency does not fence off everything but leaves the canyon rims open. They trust the visitors not to get so close that they fall in. Unfortunately, this trust is broken several times each year.
