DescriptionCelebration in the 'Big Apple', SMP hosts trip to Times Square for New Year’s DVIDS511665.jpg |
English: The One Times Square Building is suddenly cloaked in fireworks and confetti as the clock strikes midnight during the Times Square New Year’s celebration Dec. 31, 2011. Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point’s Single Marine Program traveled north to be part of what most consider the biggest New Year’s Eve party on the planet. A member of the New York Police Department ensured they got a front row seat, said Nichole A. Hall, an SMP supervisor. Pfc. Brittani L. Tilton, a radio operator for Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, said the confetti was so thick, it was like a snow storm in her home state of Wisconsin. |
