Description
Português: “Real Celeiro Comum do Monte da Piedade”, na Praça 1º de Maio. Foi projectado pelo mestre pedreiro João Baptista, e a construção teve início em 1773 e foi concluída em 1780. Esta infra-estrutura é constituída pelo depósito de trigo (espaço de instalação do Centro de Artes Tradicionais/ Antigo Museu do Artesanato), pelas salas de sessões, sala vaga, cartório e moradia do tesoureiro. O depósito de trigo, a maior divisã, é uma sala de planta rectangular com 30,10 m de comprimento por 21, 60 m de largura, que possui um pé direito de 6,25 m de altura e tem 12 pilares de granito em que assentam as abóbadas em ogiva.
