Summary edit

Description
English: Cement train entering Malahide station
CIÉ Metropolitan Vickers built 001 class No. 015 hauls a train of southbound bagged cement into Malahide station. Originating from the cement factory at Platin outside Drogheda, this train could be going almost anywhere on the CIÉ system. Conveyance of cement by rail ended in December 2009. Today, excepting mineral traffic from Tara Mines outside Navan, only passenger trains pass Malahide and these are either outer-suburban diesel units, DART electric units or the Belfast – Dublin “Enterprise” service.
